For this project, we collaborated closely with our client to create a logo that embodies the core mission of their app—protecting victims and providing undeniable evidence in cases of domestic violence. The gold shield, paired with a Spartan-like helmet, symbolizes strength, protection, and resilience. The design not only represents the app’s function as a safeguard for users but also conveys a sense of authority and trust, essential qualities for an app designed to shield victims from further harm.
Our team worked closely with the client to ensure the logo perfectly aligned with the app's mission. By collaborating on every detail, we created a powerful visual identity that resonates with users and reinforces the app's role in protecting victims.
We focused on creating an app that offers quick and easy access to critical features in dangerous situations. The main screen is designed for immediate usability, with clearly labeled buttons that allow users to report incidents and alert dispatch instantly. Every element of the design prioritizes user safety, ensuring that help is always just a tap away.
Our dedication to collaboration allowed us to learn and create an app that seamlessly integrates essential safety features, such as the ability to report incidents and alert dispatch in real time. The hidden mode, which disguises the app as a solitaire game, was a thoughtful addition to protect users in potentially volatile situations. This project showcases our ability to combine design innovation with practical functionality, all while ensuring the client’s vision was fully realized.
The app is currently in testing at a national level and is planned to be released for public use in select areas soon.
In designing the web app for dispatch centers, our primary focus was on usability and delivering detailed, actionable information rather than creating a flashy interface. We ensured that dispatchers have everything they need at a glance—victim details, location, and any relevant persons of interest—so they can respond swiftly and effectively. The integration of live video footage and direct chat with the victim further enhances the ability to manage emergencies in real time.
Our approach was rooted in practicality, working closely with the client to develop a backend that prioritizes function over form. The ability to send "Safe Locations" and monitor incidents without unnecessary distractions ensures that dispatchers can concentrate on providing immediate, life-saving assistance.
We collaborated closely with the owner of Stones Garage to transform his vision into a unique and meaningful logo. The design features a subtle mountain backdrop, paying homage to the beautiful Durango, CO area where the shop is located. We carefully matched the color scheme to the shop's aesthetic, with the same blue hue, black trim, and yellowish stained wood accents that define Stones Garage.
To emphasize the services offered, we incorporated tire tread patterns and automotive iconography, creating a logo that resonates with the shop's identity. This design was inspired by both the owner's and our shared love for the local area and our passion for automotive culture.
For Stones Garage, we created a website that prioritizes clear, concise communication, ensuring customers can find essential information quickly and easily. We began by featuring an image of the shop, making it instantly recognizable upon arrival. Above the fold, we prominently displayed the services offered, allowing customers to identify what they need with minimal effort.
Understanding that trust is paramount in the automotive industry, we carefully outlined each service's process to ensure full transparency. By doing so, we educate the customer and reinforce Stones Garage's commitment to honesty and reliability. Our design approach not only enhances the user experience but also builds confidence in the services provided.
All of the marketing materials we designed for Stones Garage feature the logo and essential contact information, ensuring a consistent and recognizable brand. We also included the ASE Certification badge to showcase their expertise and commitment to top-notch service.
The flyers were designed to align with the aesthetic of the Stones Garage website, creating a cohesive look across all platforms. Note: The dates for the Grand Re-Opening have not yet been set and therefore were blurred in the example shown.
We had a great time on these projects and seized the opportunity to blend our design skills with a shared passion for cars and the automotive industry.
The Colorado Offset Drain Attachment is a multi-piece system used to relocate shower drains when remodeling. It's primary users are tile setters and plumbers and a small percentage of DIY'ers.
When designing the logo we wanted to convey the brand as trustworthy, durable, and efficient. To do this we started by looking at classic tool and material brands from the 1950's to 1980's. After researching and drafting, we decided that bold lettering and simple shapes gave the logo the strongest look. The shape below the CODA lettering mimics the shape and design of the CODA system and similarly to the CODA attachment, fits between the layers of the logo as the CODA attachment fits between the layers of a shower pan and waterproofing.
This logo has been used on the product, packaging, and all materials taken to the 2022 Coverings Trade show. We will be returning to Coverings with the CODA team for their 2023 show.
